I am excited to announce that the Hospital Appeal Board (the “Board”) has introduced a new Participants Code of Conduct, effective July 23, 2024.
The new Participants Code of Conduct applies to all parties, witnesses, representatives, interveners, and other participants involved in the proceeding. The Code explains the rights and responsibilities of those appearing before or interacting with the Board, to ensure that appeals proceed fairly, efficiently, and accessibly, and all participants are treated with dignity and respect. The Code also describes steps that the Board can take where individuals fail to act appropriately during appeal processes.
The Board expects to continue revising this document over time and welcome your feedback.
